What Can I Find in the
The College Planning Room?

The College Planning Room (CPR) is located next to the Guidance Office in the Shalom Wing. The CPR is used as a resource for students, parents, and faculty. While the primary use for the room is college planning, the room is also used for parent/counselor meetings, department meetings, tutoring, and other small events.
Located in the CPR:
- The College Redbook - 3 years of Bishop Guertin statistics on all the colleges our students apply to!
- Three computer workstations with a printer
- Information about Summer Programs (also available here online)
- Scholarship info and applications (also availble here online)
- College applications and view books
- Military information
- College Source Books
- Career planning guidebooks
- Other guidebooks such as "Ruggs Recommendations on the Colleges", "The 500 Best Ways for Teens to Spend the Summer", and many more.
- SAT/ACT information including prep workbooks, registration forms, information on prep classes (Kaplan, Saint Anselm, etc), testing dates, and several books about taking tests.
- Bulletin Board with job postings and other current information

The CPR is open daily during the school year from 7:00-11:00 and 12:30-3:00. The room may be closed during department meetings and other events. Students must make an appointment in the Guidance office to receive a pass to use the CPR during the school day. No pass is necessary before or after school. We welcome parents to the CPR but ask that you please call ahead to make sure the room is open.
