At Bishop Guertin we build on the success of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, who found our school in 1963. The definition of success at BG takes many forms: academic, athletic, social, individual and communal. Academic success includes outstanding academic performance like AP scholars, but it also involves effective writing, skillful argument and solid presentation of ideas. Athletically we offer over 60 teams for students who success in competition is noted repeatedly in local papers, which can lead to great academic options beyond high school. In the local community, BG students are involved in service work throughout the year. Most importantly, though, we teach them to understand all that they have and give freely to others. At the end of their time at BG, our students are prepared for life beyond these walls – for college and for life. And education here is never about just grades but so much more about who they are and preparing them for the future ahead.
