Tuition at Bishop Guertin is set by the Board of Directors each year. Tuition for the 2019-2020 school year is $14,775 and is adjusted annually. A yearly activity fee of $150 covers all extracurricular activities such as intramurals, drama and field trips. Each student also pays a registration fee of $350 annually which covers the administrative costs associated with course selection, curriculum guide, progress and report cards, administration of standardized tests and student insurance. It also provides funding for co-curricular activities and contributes towards items such as ID photos and admission to home interscholastic games.
Need-Based Financial Assistance
Consistent with the Mission of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, financial assistance at Bishop Guertin is awarded solely on the basis of need. Families, new and returning, may start applying November 1, 2019. To ensure that awards are objective, BG uses an outside third party assessor. FACTS Grant & Aid (G&A) will be conducting the financial need analysis for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS G&A. Please start your application through FACTS G&A as soon as possible, as it may take 2-3 weeks for FACTS to verify your submitted information, once they confirm your application is complete. Upon notification from FACTS that your application is verified, it will be reviewed and need-based award determinations will be sent to families by US mail. Applicants can apply online at the FACTS G&A Website by clicking the FACTS logo to the right.
In order to ensure that awards can meet the following timeline: notices of awards for new students will be mailed beginning in late January, once information has been verified and transmitted to us by FACTS. In the case of returning students, notices of awards will be sent after the period for re-registration. Roughly 21% of current BG students receive financial aid, and the average aid amount awarded is $4,000. Last year, BG distributed more than $800,000 in financial assistance.
The financial aid application year is 2020-2021. New families will need to create a username and password. If a family has an existing user account for the FACTs Payment Plan, they may use the same user account to apply for financial aid.
