Lupo ’20 and Johnson ’20 Appointed to Naval Academy
Bishop Guertin is proud to announce that two members of the Class of 2020, Joseph Lupo and Aidan Johnson, have accepted appointments to the United States Naval Academy. This accomplishment adds to a long list of recent BG graduates who have been chosen to attend our countries service academics.
Joey Lupo will be joining his sister Katie who will be a junior this fall at Annapolis. A new family "tradition", Joey says he's looking forward to serving he country. "To me this means that I will get the opportunity to be a leader in serving our country, which is an honor I place above all others." Joey added that Bishop Guertin's rigorous academics have prepared him well. "BG has helped me by building a strong foundation of traits that have prepared me to go through the Naval Academy. BG’s academics, sports, and community have allowed me to grow into the person I am today."
Ask Aidan Johnson when he knew they wanted to attend the United States Naval Academy and he will tell you it was way before he ever stepped foot in Bishop Guertin. "I have wanted to go to the Naval Academy since I was nine years old, and getting appointed is one of the greatest achievements that I have had in my life." An active member of several school organizations, Aidan credits BG for for helping him achieve his dream. "I could not have done it without BG preparing me not only academically, but from a moral and character standpoint that has made me into the young man I am today."
