Bishop Guertin Earns First College Board AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award for Achieving High Female Representation in AP Computer Science Courses
Bishop Guertin High School has earned the first College Board AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for achieving high female representation in AP Computer Science A. Schools honored with the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award have expanded girls’ access in AP Computer Science courses. Out of more than 18,000 secondary schools worldwide that offer AP courses, Bishop Guertin is one of only 685 to accomplish this and with only 167 schools earning the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award for AP Computer Science A.
President Linda Brodeur Honored With Rivier University Alumni Achievement Award
Bishop Guertin President Linda Brodeur was recently awarded the Rivier University Alumni Outstanding Educator Award. Mrs. Brodeur earned both her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and her Master of Education from Rivier. In 2016, she was honored with the Educator of the Year Award, having distinguished herself as the first-ever female and lay president of BG.

WORLD LANGUAGE NHS INDUCTION DATE CHANGE - The National Honor Societies Induction Ceremony has been changed to Thursday, March 28 at 7 PM in the gym. Inductees should plan to arrive at 6:30 PM. Current members should plan to arrive by 6:15 PM to help finish the setup and help organize the inductees.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE CLUB - Anyone who is interested in the American Sign Language Club, our meetings are on Tuesdays right after school in room 104. Anyone is welcome to attend. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Cloutier.
NASHUA ROTARY CONTEST - The Nashua Rotaries are presenting a Four-Way Speech Contest for students in grades 9-12 on Thursday, March 28 at 6 pm. The subject must apply the Four-Way test as a standard connection with other topics or life experiences or as a main topic. Prizes range from $50 to $500! In past years, BG has had many students placing and winning cash prizes! More details and an application can be found in the Main Office or with Ms. Lucier.
STUDENT GALA VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Students are needed to help out at this year’s Legacy Gala Dinner Auction on Saturday, April 13 from 4:00-9:00 pm. This is BG’s biggest fundraiser of the year and supports the Cardinal Endowment Fund for Scholarships and Financial Aid. Any students interested in volunteering can sign up at Ms. Lucier’s Office located in the Shalom Wing by the Upper Art Room. If you worked it last year and were a food server or busser, your help has been requested Please check your BG email and respond to it. PARKING LOTS - All tags have been issued and the lots are at capacity. Listen for Parking Announcements in May for the end of year final exams parking of underclassmen and registering for the 2019-2020 school year. Please do not park on campus if you do not have a parking tag.
LOST & FOUND ITEMS - Are you missing sunglasses, reading glasses, prescription glasses? Stop by the Optometry Shop in Reception. Also, small items and jewelry can also be claimed. FYI - there is a trash receptacle in the gym/fieldhouse filled with misplaced clothing items and shoes that were left in those areas. Please check if you are missing something. It also helps to write your name on everything!
