The Winter Sports Season brought four more Varsity state titles to Bishop Guertin.
When it's cold and snowy outside in New Hampshire, people tend to hibernate, but not our Cardinals. This sports season brought State Championships to:
Girls Indoor Track and Field
Boys Swimming and Diving
Boys Alpine Skiing
For Swimming and Diving and Alpine Skiing, our teams took home their second title in as many years, making them a force to be reckoned with in the pool and on the slopes. For both teams, numerous individual titles mean the Roedel Field House will get some new hardware, as well.
If ever there was a phrase for Girls Indoor Track, it would be small, but mighty. Competing with just ten student-athletes at the State Championship, our girls took home the title edging out Exeter by two points, bolstered by first place finishes from Cameryn Nichols (55m hurdles), Caroline Towle (1500m), and Caroline Fischer (1000m)
The last team to wrap-up their season did it in style, as our Girls Basketball team capped off an undefeated season, capturing their fourth straight title. An all around team effort throughout the season, the team took on reigning state champions from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New York on their way to solidifying their dynasty in a decisive win over Portsmouth.
In addition, Boys Freshman and JV Basketball, also won state titles, signaling a strong future for the program.
