Ricky Gray Named Head Coach of Golf
April 23, 2026
NASHUA, N.H. — Bishop Guertin Director of Athletics Ryan Brown has announced that Ricky Gray has been named the head coach of the varsity golf program.
Gray comes to BG after several years of coaching at the collegiate level, including two stints as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Franklin Pierce University (2014-17 and 2020-22). Between those stops in Rindge, he served as an assistant coach at Southern New Hampshire University, where he helped guide the Penmen to the 2018 NE10 Conference Championship and a berth in the NCAA Division II National Championship. While with Franklin Pierce, Gray was also part of a staff that led the women’s program to multiple NE10 titles.
“We are excited to welcome Ricky and his family to the BG community,” Brown said. “He has a great track record of coaching younger golfers and getting the most out of their potential. His passion for the game and mentoring developing players was evident from the first day we met him, and we look forward to what he will bring to our program.”
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Gray has worked as an assistant professional and in outside services at golf facilities across New Hampshire, Delaware, Arizona, and Texas, gaining broad experience in all aspects of golf operations and player development.
Gray learned the game while serving in the U.S. Army through the Salute to Military Golf Association. His strong play quickly set him apart within the program and earned him a spot on the team at Franklin Pierce, where he went on to earn a B.S. in Psychology (2013) and an MBA in Leadership (2016).
Gray was also recently named the Club Pro at Sky Meadow Country Club.
