The Bishop Guertin High School Athletic Hall of Fame is to publicly recognize and celebrate individuals who best exemplified the spirit of Bishop Guertin High School through their athletic involvement; positively and unselfishly contributed to the mission of their team, teammates, and school; achieved higher than average athletic statistical results; and continue to be sources of pride and contributions to themselves, Bishop Guertin, and the community.

Inductee Selection Criteria and Process

Any male or female student-athlete, coach, administrator, athletic staff member (manager, trainer, etc.) or special individual (as chosen by the selection committee) who has either graduated from, been employed by, volunteered for, or loyally supported Bishop Guertin High School, is eligible for nomination. This includes (but is not limited to)

a. non-athletes who have excelled in the industry of sport;
b. entire teams who have exhibited superior athleticism, unity and spirit;
c. student-athletes who have excelled in NCAA collegiate athletics at greater lengths than at Bishop Guertin;
d. and, individuals/groups who volunteered extensive amounts of support to the Bishop Guertin athletic program.

The candidate must be separated from Bishop Guertin for a period of five (5) years or more and must have parted in good academic/character standing.

Nominations will be requested through BG Connections Online Magazine, inserts in direct mail pieces, and local media. The selection committee reviews all nominations and creates a pool of ten (10) finalists based upon eligibility, character merit, level of athletic achievement, level of athletic participation, and overall contributions to the Bishop Guertin athletic program. In the form of a vote, each candidate must be approved unanimously by the selection committee to become an inductee.
