BG Sweeps 2022 Lacrosse Titles

EXETER, N.H. – For the second straight year, the New Hampshire Division I Lacrosse titles reside on Lund Road and to the Cardinals.

Both the Bishop Guertin boys and girls lacrosse teams capped their respective 2022 seasons with a state title, accomplishing the championship sweep for the second time in as many years.

The girls started the trend with their second straight and fourth in four seasons in Exeter on June 7, taking down rival Bedford, 13-7. The boys followed suit the following week as they claimed their second straight thanks to an 11-6 win against Exeter on their own field.

For the girls, it was the sixth state crown in program history, while the boys now can claim 11 state banners adorning the walls of Collignon Gymnasium.

The win against Bedford pushed the girls’ record to 18-1-1 this season, while the defeat of Exeter helped the boys finish 18-2. The two teams combined to go 36-0 against other New Hampshire programs as all three losses came against Massachusetts schools.

Bishop Guertin finishes the 2022-23 school year with five Division I State Championships: boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, girls basketball, girls soccer and boys cross country.
