BG Named Best High School in State in 2025
MANCHESTER, NH – For the fifth consecutive year, Bishop Guertin has been named the Gold Medal Winner for “Best High School” in the Manchester Radio Group’s annual Best of the 603 Awards. Additionally, BG also earned top honors as the “Best Private School” in New Hampshire for the fourth year in a row.
The Best of the 603 Awards recognize outstanding businesses and organizations across the Granite State, with winners selected through a public voting process over the spring and summer months.
These accolades reaffirm Bishop Guertin’s sustained excellence in academics, extracurricular opportunities, and its commitment to service and leadership. Since 2021, BG has been recognized each year as the state’s Best High School, while capturing the Best Private School distinction every year since 2022.
Social Studies teacher Mr. Tim Lunn ’11 and Spanish teacher Mrs. Lindsey Lackner proudly represented the BG community at Thursday’s awards ceremony in Manchester.
Bishop Guertin is honored to celebrate these recognitions in 2025, both as a reflection of past achievement and as a standard of excellence to uphold in the years ahead.
“This year, part of our school’s slogan is to ‘create hope.’ At BG, that’s something I'm lucky to see every day. The structure and support here don’t just help us succeed in the classroom, but invest in our growth to become better people. The relationships I’ve built at BG have made a real difference in my life and have given me, and so many of my classmates, a strong sense of hope for the future. I’m really proud to see BG getting the recognition it deserves.”

“Attending Bishop Guertin was undoubtedly the best decision of my life because it has allowed me to completely transform myself into the best student, athlete, and leader that I can be. I've been able to find myself in a wide variety of activities at BG, ranging from sports to student government to Model UN. Anything a student could possibly be looking for in a school, they can find it at Bishop Guertin.”
- Max Moynihan, Student Body Vice President
"This recognition reflects the tireless efforts of our dedicated faculty, staff, and students, as well as the support of our parents, alumni, and community. It affirms the 200-year old mission that we live and the ideals toward which we strive every day as a school community. We know that by challenging themselves today, our students are being prepared to change their world into a better, more compassionate place. This award reminds us of the standard to which we are held by our community, and challenges us to inspire hope in the future through our actions each day."
- Mr. Jason Strniste, Principal
“We are honored to be recognized as the Best High School and Private School in the state. This award reflects the spirit of our founder, Fr. André Coindre, whose mission was to form young people in faith, compassion, and courage. It is equally a tribute to our wonderful students, dedicated faculty, and supportive families who partner with us to carry that mission forward each day. We look forward to building on this success and serving our students even better in the years ahead as they are charged with changing, for the better, the world in which they live.”
