The Walk-A-Thon is a school-wide, student fundraising event. Started in 1992, the money raised continues to go directly back into the school and its students.
Over the years, students have raised funds for items including:

- Air conditioning throughout the school
- Athletic uniforms
- BG’s entrance plaza
- Classroom, library, and AV Room renovations
- Digital signage
- “Home of the Cardinals” signage
- MVP plaques
- New lockers
- Protective cage and fencing for the baseball field
- Stellos Stadium team rooms
- Technology equipment and upgrades
- Updates to our fields
In addition, each year $10,000 is also given to support student clubs and activities! To date, this event has raised more than $2 million.
Holly Day Fair
The Holly Day Fair was started in 1973 by the Bishop Guertin High School Mother’s Club to raise money for student activities. Over the years this fair has blossomed into one of the best craft fairs in the area. The fair offers unique craft items, food, recipes, raffles, gift baskets, and tons of holiday spirit from more than 70 artisans from across New England.

Legacy Gala
Please join us as we kick off the 26th Annual Legacy Gala Dinner Auction. This exciting event benefits the Cardinal Endowment Fund for Scholarships and Financial Assistance. Last year we awarded over $1.3 million dollars in scholarships and tuition assistance and even more will be needed this year to help our students.
The Gala is important because it helps raise much-needed financial aid to ensure that a BG education is available and attainable for all those who seek it. It also celebrates the founding of Bishop Guertin High School, paying tribute to the generations of Brothers, religious women, laypersons, and businesses whose dedication has made BG the prominent institution it is today.
Christopher Griffin '79 Memorial Golf Tournament
The Christopher Griffin ’79 Memorial Golf Tournament was founded by a handful of individuals that believed in preserving the memory of a dear friend and alumnus, Chris Griffin. From humble beginnings in 1987, the BGAA Griffin Memorial Golf Tournament has flourished as one of the premier events held in late summer. Now in its 37th year, the money raised support the Christopher Griffin ’79 Memorial Scholarship Fund, one of the largest scholarships awarded to a graduating senior from the BG community.
