Job Title: Director of Institutional Advancement

 

Location: Bishop Guertin High School, Nashua, NH

 

About Us: Bishop Guertin High School, operated by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, is a comprehensive, Catholic co-educational, college-preparatory school that promotes academic excellence within the context of a living faith community. Our dedicated staff nurtures the development of the mind, body, and spirit of every student. At Bishop Guertin, we are on the brink of a major capital improvement plan, aiming to develop and modernize our facilities to provide an enriching and nurturing environment for our students.

 

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Institutional Advancement to join our leadership team. This individual will be a key figure in securing funds and resources, as well as promoting the vision of Bishop Guertin High School, during this transformative phase. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in advancement and development within an educational or non-profit setting.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Fundraising and Capital Campaign: Develop and execute an innovative fundraising strategy to achieve the financial goals of the capital improvement plan. This includes major gifts, annual giving, special projects, and other school-related solicitations.
  2. Donor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including alumni, parents, faculty, community members, and other potential donors.
  3. Advocacy: Advocate for the school’s mission and vision at public meetings, fundraising events, and with potential donors and partners.
  4. Strategic Planning: Work closely with the school’s leadership to align fundraising strategies with the school’s long-term objectives.
  5. Communication: Lead the development of effective communication strategies to enhance visibility and increase philanthropic support.
  6. Stewardship: Develop stewardship programs to ensure ongoing engagement and acknowledgement of our donors.

 

Requirements:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  2. Minimum 7-10 years of experience in fundraising, advancement, or related field, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting.
  3. Proven track record of securing major gifts and successfully managing fundraising campaigns.
  4. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  5. A deep understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of Bishop Guertin High School and the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.
  6. Ability to travel locally and nationally as needed.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Run cash registers during lunchtime
  • Fill and stock retail area items
  • Set up lunch items
  • Clean main area and kitchen daily as needed

Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare breakfast sandwiches for morning rush
  • Prepare grilled and fried items for daily lunch
  • Assist Chefs with lunch entrées
  • Break down and clean grill and fryer area
  • Fill and set up retail area as needed
  • Bonus: Ability to work a cash register (not necessary but appreciated)

 

Note: Extra hours available during the school year for catering events.
