A private, independent, Catholic, college preparatory high school inspired by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.
Where Every Student is…
At BG, we announce everyone’s birthday over the loudspeaker – sometimes we sing to people in the cafeteria or even serenade them with the marching band!
Whether you’re into Campus Ministry, Mock Trial, Alpine Skiing, Jazz Band, or something else, we value every student’s contribution to making BG a powerhouse of excellence.
100% of BG students are accepted to colleges and universities, but they always have a home here! Once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal!
Schedule a Tour or Shadow Day
Visiting campus is a perfect way to experience the community, spirit, and pride for which Bishop Guertin is known. Students, faculty, and staff are the key ingredient to what makes BG such a special place. We encourage you attend one of our Admission events or schedule a tour with one of our student ambassadors. In addition, we also offer a Shadow Day program for 8th graders and transfers who want to experience it means to be a Cardinal!
Tours of Bishop Guertin are offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school. Led by our Student Ambassadors, this is an excellent way to get acquainted with our campus and learn more about our school.
Experience Campus Life
Our pandemic response was called “a model for schools across the country.” Within 72 hours, we transitioned to online classes. We hosted a drive-in graduation for the class of 2020. While maintaining
values-based academic integrity, we have given back to our community and beyond. With students returning to campus, we take every possible safety precaution.
We believe learning should be about discovery and adventure, but it shouldn’t necessarily be easy. The fact that our academic program is challenging is what makes it great. We offer a rigorous, personalized,
values-based education enhanced with a range of options, giving students the freedom to discover their best selves.
Over the course of the school year, Campus Ministry is responsible for the planning, execution, and promotion of various school-wide events, including liturgies, prayer services and reflections, clothing and
goods drives, and raising money for our Brother school in Rutenga, Zimbabwe through our annual Lenten Mission Drive and Mr. BG Pageant. .
Bishop Guertin students are encouraged to explore their gifts and talents by getting involved in the many clubs and activities the school has to offer. With more than 50 extracurriculars on campus, there is
something for everyone. And if a club doesn’t exist yet, you can start one! All that’s required is your dedication and commitment.
Our approach to athletics reflects our commitment to whole-person formation, encouraging each student’s wellness of mind, body, and spirit. BG athletes are disciplined, honorable, and know how to work toward a
common goal. Leaders on and off the field, Cardinals continue their athletic careers at some of the country’s best colleges and universities.
From the beautiful vocal nuances of the Honors Chorus to the soulful sounds of the Jazz Ensemble, music thrives at Bishop Guertin. With six large performing groups, including a string orchestra, students are
exposed to a wide variety of styles and genres and are encouraged to participate in multiple ensembles.
