Warren Chen Recaps His Week With US Senate Youth Program

Thanks to the great recommendation and motivation by Mr. Strniste and other wonderful teachers, I was able to successfully apply and become one of two New Hampshire delegates for this year's United States Senate Youth Program. 

 

I talked with and listened to the words of many prominent leaders and figures involved with the government. Among these included our very own Senator Maggie Hassan, US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda-Thomas Greenfield, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, and Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg. 

 

Even more importantly, the connections I have made with the other delegates have been unforgettable. We spent lots of time talking and bonding over shared interests, and the inspiring figures I was able to work, talk, and listen to made my time at the Senate Program a truly unforgettable experience.

 

This school prepared me well for the writing, interviews, and research that were necessary in the application process. Most importantly, I cannot thank Bishop Guertin enough for giving me this amazing opportunity!
